Accepting People Unconditionally
After I have practiced accepting myself unconditionally, including accepting myself being late for meetings, being untidy in my home and office, being lazy and being bad in general, I have begun to accept others unconditionally. I used to look down on some people for various reasons such as being lazy, weird, slow, not motivated, unappreciative, etc. Now I accept them all. They are imperfect. So am I. I accept them and respect that they have the right to be imperfect themselves.
This change of attitude in me has made me more forgiving to and less demanding of others. I am much less disappointed or resentful of others’ behaviours that did not meet my expectations. I am more at peace with my relationship with others. My previously relatively constricted world becomes bigger.
